Quince Extract

The quince probably originates from the Caucasus and was already cultivated in ancient Greece. It was first mentioned by the Roman historian Pliny (24 to 79 AD). Quince is greatly valued for its high content of polysaccharides, vitamins and minerals. Quince extract is obtained from the seed of the woody but juice-filled quince fruit. Quince has low levels of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. The Quince extract included is gentle extraction methods that preserve its actives. It contains a high percentage of polysaccharides which are very good film formers and therefore excellent moisturizers. In addition, it regulates the natural moisture encouraging skin's moisture balance. Quince seeds are very often used in cosmetology because they contain oil and mucilage.
